The Argentine Football Association (AFA) collectively voted Maradona out despite the calls of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner to keep Maradona on the post.

Maradona said that he was betrayed by Julio Grondona the President of Argentine football association (AFA) and Carlos Bilardo the team’s co-coach. He added in speeach “I have given everything. Football fans warned that they could face huge mobile phone bills if they call, text, tweet or surf the web on a match day while in South Africa. Research shows that roaming charges for calls, texts and data could add up to more than £100 on a match day, more than double the face value of a World Cup ticket.

The organization said the cost of using mobile internet of £1.25 to £8 per megabyte could leave customers paying up to £80 to upload 10 photos to Facebook while texts can be charged at anywhere between 25p and 50p. Vodafone offers the best rates for South Africa, according to Consumer Focus.

Department has issued a travel alert to US citizens living in South Africa or travelling for the World Cup due to the risk of terrorism.

United States government said the concern is that a large-scale public event like the World Cup is an attractive target for terrorists.
